Apple Pie

Ingredients
Sir Galahad Flour 500g
Ice Water 175g
Salt 10g
Butter 200g
Shortening 125g
Milk Powder 30g
Confectioners Sugar 25g
Filling
Topfil Origins Washington Apples A.N.

Instructions

Method
  • Using a paddle, blend pieces of shortening and butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly. 
  • Add the very cold water and mix until just combined. 
  • Chill before sheeting. 

Assembly
  • Sheet to desired thickness and cut a piece large enough to fill desired pie pan. 
  • Once dough is shaped into pan, fill with Washington Apples Topfil Origins and bake between 375°F and 425°F (larger or deeper pie means lower tempature) for 45-65 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
