Founded in 1938, Pennant Ingredients is a premier supplier of high-quality ingredients for sweet baked goods, including donuts, cakes, and pies. In 2016, we proudly joined forces with Puratos, a global leader in innovative ingredients for bread, sweet goods, and chocolate. With two manufacturing plants in Rochester, New York, our streamlined operations and customized formulations have earned the trust of leading foodservice operators, retailers, and wholesalers nationwide. In 2025, we plan to rebrand under a fresh, new logo. This logo seamlessly aligns with the Puratos brand, emphasizing our shared values and complementary product offerings.
OUR HISTORY
- 1938: Founded in Rochester, NY, known as “The Flower City,” by Jack Binik as Flower City Baking Supplies, Inc., featuring Pennant Branded Products.
- 1977: Expanded and rebranded as Pennant Products, Inc.
- 1988: Celebrated 50 years of business
- 2006: Reclaimed the name Pennant Foods
- 2015: Transitioned to Pennant Ingredients Inc.
- 2016: Joined the Puratos family.
- 2018: Celebrated 80 years of business
- 2025: Launch of new logo and branding
