Mummy Pie

Pie Dough
All Purpose Flour 225g
Granulated Sugar 20g
Cold Water 40g
Butter 150g
Salt 8g
Egg Yolks 20g

Vivafil Raspberry A.N.
Carat Coverlux White Chocolate A.N.
Carat Coverlux Dark Cacao-Trace A.N.
Pie Dough
  • Combine the flour and sugar.
  • Cream the butter and salt in a stand mixer bowl using a spatula. 
  • Add the egg yolks and combine.
  • Mix in one-third of the flour on low speed.
  • Then add the water and the remaining flour and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Refrigerate overnight

  • Sheet the pie dough to 3mm. 
  • Using an oval cutter, mark the dough laeving a bit of space between markings. 
  • Pipe Vivafil Raspberry in the oval marking. Brush egg wash around the vival. 
  • Place strips of pie dough to ressemble a mummy. 
  • Brush with Sunset Glaze, bake at 375°F in a rackoven for 25 minutes or until baked through. 
  • Once cooled, pipe eyes using the Carat Coverlux.
