In the arena of health, pleasure or convenience, new concepts and innovative ideas are the only means to attract and retain the increasingly demanding consumers of today. In an effort to continue the flow of innovation to bakers, Puratos hosted the first Le Tour de Life in Dallas, Texas on June 5, 2008.

The evening featured board certified nutritionist and previous chair of the American Association of Cereal Chemists Julie Miller Jones, PhD. Currently she is professor of nutrition in the Department of Family, Consumer and Nutritional Sciences at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul.  Dr. Jones reviewed the benefits of whole grain, folic acid, omega 3's and even revealed some little known sources of health benefits. Statistics reveal that nine out of ten Americans do not get the daily-recommended amount of whole grains. Puratos displayed their ability to provide solutions to help bakers meet these needs.

 The evening ended with a presentation of Puratos solutions that meet and surpass consumer demands as well as those that address upcoming trends.
