According to the latest dietary guidelines for Americans, whole grains should be half of the recommended daily intake of grains that's three to five 16g servings of whole grain per day; However, Americans continue to struggle to get the required daily amount.
You can improve your whole grain intake by following the tips below!
· Buy three different loaves of whole-grain bread and taste all of them to see which one you like best.
· Make pizza for the kids using a whole wheat crust.
· Make your favorite cookies with whole wheat flour next time instead of white.
· Try a new breakfast cereal with at least 16 grams of whole grain per serving
