Puratos will be presenting delicious bread, pastries, and chocolate at the American Bakery Expo on October 21 - 23, 2006.

For the bread baker Puratos will be presenting Filone, a distinctly Italian interpretation of a French baguette with unsurpassed flavor, crispy crust, and moist open crumb. Manhattan Rye and Sourdough bread will also be available for tasting to showcase our Sapore line of all-natural, bio-fermented flavors. This unique line of ready to use flavors offers the convenience of modern baking and guarantees the consistency of final bread flavor.

In sweet goods, Puratos will demonstrate a variety of delightful moist and rich Supreme Crème Cakes with superb flavor, good volume, outstanding shelf life and good fruit suspension. For an indulgent twist Puratos will present the new gourmet cream-based Deli fillings with exceptional flavor and texture ready to use with anything from cake to pastry to Belgian chocolate. 

In chocolate, Puratos will feature Belcolade Origin Chocolate. The cocoa used to make these chocolates is acquired from specific countries and creates a unique flavor profile. Come see the Belcolade Origin Cake program which gives bakers the ability to elevate their chocolate desserts with origin offerings. 

In the Great Taste & Wellness program, Puratos forges ahead in the effort to provide consumers with healthier alternatives combining nutritional value with great taste.   Puratos will show White Wheat Bread, which has the taste of white bread but the health benefits of wheat bread. The Easy 12 Grain and 3 Seed base helps the consumer follow the FDA whole grain recommendation. Bagel lovers will be pleased with the Cholesterol Lowering Bagel base which allows the bakery to make a FDA claim. Puratos will introduce additions to the good for you cake range, including San Hydro Crème Cake that delivers the great eating experience of a crème cake but is free of trans fats and hydrogenated oil.
